The Meydan Races- My Fashion Review

Dubai World Cup fashion fashion blogger Jessica Rea Millinery Maydan Racecourse Milliner Race Day Style Racing

Last week saw the fabulous Meydan Races and it really was a glamorous affair. I always look forward to the races in Dubai as It creates such style inspiration and the Style Stake Awards this year really didn't disappoint.

A personal favourite for me was the winner of Best Hat Award, Corina Tutoiu, who teamed up with her nurse-milliner friend to create the Lady Gaga Inspired Masterpiece! The dramatic effect created by the swirl makes for a fantastic headpiece and she incorporated the Dubai colours of Royal Blue and Camel making for an overall striking effect. Corina’s award was well deserved!

The Style Stake allows for creativity to take a spotlight with the Most Creative Hat Award, the afternoon tea hat worn by Eksuda Vessakosol was incredible and made for a real spectacle. The detail in the piece was fantastic and really looked good enough to eat!

The headpiece was created by Eksuda’s grandmother and was exquisite.

The winner of the Best Dressed Style Stake Award, Eleanor Campbell, created an image of pure sophistication in pastels. The beautiful mix of light pinks and pale blues in the headpiece really made for a match made in heaven and created a well-deserved winner.

Throughout the whole event, fashion took center stage, creating a sense of pure glamour and sophistication. Here are a few of my favorite looks from the race.

Eugenia Polyako channeled a chic level of sophistication with the ensemble, I love the colour matching of pure white from the hat to the pearls. It is timeless and classic.

Joudyyz created a dramatic effect with her flowing dress, it was the definition of elegance. I love the addition of the blue headpiece and bag, it really makes it a stand-out look.

Nadine Dabboussi Kabbara created a flawless look with her hat and dress combination, despite the different colours a similar fabric is used throughout the dress and headpiece making a glorious ripple effect from head to foot.

The Mayden Races really made for a spectacular sight, I simply can’t wait for next year.

Let me know what your best looks were!
