Derby Day brought with it a whole new day of excitement and brilliant guests. I awoke to the sun shining and The Epsom Downs Racecourse was looking spectacular, busier than ever before.
On Derby Day I decided I choose a very simplistic black dress with the most beautiful lace details on the sleeves. I teamed the dress with a dazzling silver and black wire piece from my ‘Black Label Collection’ New for SS19. I paired the headpiece with glistening Aldo shoes and the same studded effect handbag available from my boutique.
For Derby Day I was joined by the fabulous Journalist Faye White. Faye is a journalist for BBC, Grazia and Daily Mail who also hosts a fantastic podcast, Hear Her Out. Faye if your reading this and need a guest speaker at some point I’m your gal haha! Faye looked a vision in a Rixo dress, the clashing of green and black looked fantastic! I decided to inject more colour in with her headpiece "The Jenny" from the Pan Collection. The mix of colours made a great statement and is bang on trend for this year!
The lovely Scott Wells was also in attendance. Scott is Group Fashion Assistant for Daily Express/ New! /S/Sat Mag. Scott looked very dapper in a top hat and tails, it truly was a really elegant look.
I was also joined by the fab Jess who added a brilliant floral look with her gorgeous dress from Ghost and we added a final floral flourish with "The Pan" headpiece.
Stacey exuded elegance in this exquisite dress by Phase Eight, with this ensemble we pulled out the nude colouring of the flowers and carried it through with a sparkling nude headpiece, which glistened beautifully in the sun. I also added a tiny hint of navy through some feathers to give the hat a bit of depth.
Also in attendance was Jo, who works alongside me. Jo wore a striking green jumpsuit from Phase Eight! The vivid green colour worked perfectly with "The Emily" headpiece, we tied in the blue of the peacock feathers in with navy court shoes from Marks and Spenser and a navy snakeskin clutch bag from Next. The snakeskin added a lovely texture to the crisp look of the jumpsuit.
Derby Day really was fantastic. We were based within The Gallops Enclosure where we watched all the races, whilst enjoying The Epsom Downs Racecourse Signature Derby Cocktail which was ‘Gin Fizz.’
Derby Day was really was a day full of delights, I cannot wait for next year!
