Cheltenham Festival 2016

Posted by Jessica Connelly on

With the Cheltenham Festival starting on Wednesday. I thought I'd share a round-up on what to wear for this horse racing event. It's a different one in the calendar to the summer racing and people often get stuck on what to wear. This is much more understated, less flashy and tweed is very much king for the men.

It's normally cold for the Cheltenham Festival, so I advise my clients to wear a classic cut coat with a felt hat, and a nice classic boot or shoe (not your Dubarry's which you wear to walk the dog). Either a fedora hat with feathers or one of my winter pieces.  If you wanted to add a pop of colour, do it subtally on your hat, but try drawing hints of the colour through your outfit into your scarf, gloves and handbag.

I personally think that Zara Phillips races really well at Cheltenham, here's some of my favourite outfits from her...
